About mixed-use land in Ras Al Khaimah

Mixed-use land is zoned for homes and business together, so one building can have shops or offices at street level and flats above. It is the most varied type of land Namou has, spread across Ras Al Khaimah city, RAK Central and Al Marjan Island.

In the city, compact plots in Al Nakheel allow towers of up to a ground floor, a mezzanine and 28 floors, subject to approval. RAK Central has larger plots for apartment towers of 10 to 18 floors over parking. On Al Marjan Island, sites of hundreds of thousands of sqft suit a whole community of apartments, shops and leisure.

Ownership depends on the plot. Freehold plots are open to foreign buyers. Non-freehold plots can be owned by UAE and GCC nationals, and foreign investors can ask about long leases. Many mixed-use owners are open to a joint venture with a developer.
