About Al Nakheel

Al Nakheel is an established district of Ras Al Khaimah city, near the harbour, with apartment buildings, malls, schools and a hospital. Land here is zoned for residential and commercial use together, so a building with shops at street level and flats above is the usual plan.

The plots are compact, from about 12,500 to 20,000 sqft, but some allow real height: up to a ground floor, a mezzanine and 28 floors, subject to approval. Others suit a mid-rise block of six to 20 floors.

Ownership differs from plot to plot. Two of the plots are freehold, open to foreign buyers and open to a joint venture with a developer. The others are non-freehold, which means UAE and GCC nationals can own them, and foreign investors can ask about long leases.
